Recurring donors are the backbone of sustainable fundraising. Monthly donors give 42% more annually and have 5x higher lifetime value than one-time donors.

Frequencies

GiveLink supports four recurring frequencies:
  • Monthly — Most popular, best for sustained giving
  • Quarterly — Good for larger gifts
  • Annual — Ideal for membership renewals

How It Works

  1. Donor selects a recurring frequency on the donation form
  2. Stripe creates a subscription with the chosen interval
  3. GiveLink automatically charges the donor’s payment method on schedule
  4. Failed payments are retried automatically (Stripe Smart Retries)
  5. Donors can manage their recurring gifts via the Donor Portal

Donor Portal

Recurring donors get access to a self-service portal where they can:
  • View their giving history and receipts
  • Update payment information
  • Change donation amount or frequency
  • Cancel their recurring gift

From your dashboard, you can:
  • See all active recurring donors and their schedules
  • Track monthly recurring revenue (MRR)
  • Identify at-risk recurring donors (failed payments)
  • Export recurring donor data
